NEC4 Compensation Events Hidden Pitfalls
1 Day Course Virtual In House
Available spots
Service Description
Compensation events are the single largest source of commercial disputes under NEC4, and most problems arise not from the headline mechanism but from procedural failures that accumulate quietly through the contract. Missed notifications, deemed acceptances, non-compliant quotations and the erosion of the Accepted Programme create outcomes neither party intended and that are rarely recoverable once entrenched. Built around real case studies, the course covers the full process from early warning and notification, through quotation and assessment, to implementation. Particular attention is given to the pitfalls experienced practitioners still encounter: the treatment of Project Manager assumptions, the Project Manager's own assessment, the proper use of the Schedule of Cost Components in quotations, and the risks of unresolved CEs even at final account stage.
