Our client in the commercial and residential property environment is looking to recruit a Group Accountant to assist in the preparation of the quarterly Consolidated Financial Statements.

Responsibilities
Preparation of analyses of line items in the financial statements, reconciled to supporting schedules. Presentation of resulting reconciling items to a range of finance managers.
Preparation of adjusting journals, together with proper audit trail support, to accurately correct posting errors within the accounting records of the Group (comprising circa 500 Yardi Entities and Properties across 5 sets of Yardi Books).
Preparation of repeating consolidation level adjustments.
Preparation and maintenance of audit support file, liaison with auditors and monitoring outstanding task list.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
Must have relevant experience in related accounting functions.
Must be computer literate with the ability to adapt to new software products. Experience of Yardi is preferred. Advanced Excel skills would be advantageous.
Must have a firm understanding of double-entry bookkeeping.
Must be hard-working, meticulous and demonstrate attention to detail.
Must be able to take ownership of tasks and bear responsibility for work produced.
Must be an excellent team player, with a flexible and willing attitude to work and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
