On Wednesday the 25th of September, we held the official BPIC Network's Launch at Tétris & JLL offices in London.
We want to start off by saying a massive thank you to Tétris for sponsoring this event, giving us a brilliant venue, drinks and food. A special thanks to Vikki Wheeler for helping us all the way! Secondly, thanks to all the speakers, Nikhil Dumma from Tétris who opened the event, Faith Locken MRICS MSc from JLL who took us through her journey in her career in construction/property, Dr Nike Folayan (PhD, CEng, MIET) founder of Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers (AFBE-UK) who explained the importance of championing diversity, Jeffrey Joseph from Bouygues Construction who spoke about passing the baton from generation to generation keeping the torch alive in promoting diversity. Jeff also invited Bola Abisogun OBE FRICS founder of DiverseCity Surveyors, who showcased how we still had a lot to do in promoting diversity in construction. Last but not least, a HUGE thank you to all the attendees, the volunteers, for taking time out to ensure this was a successful event! We hope to see you all again at future events!
