There are over 300,000 Ethnic Minority-owned Businesses (EMBs) in the UK, representing over 7% of all SMEs. This entrepreneurial community brings with it a proven track record of innovation, a strong work ethic and customer loyalty, as well as flexibility and cultural insight. Yet just as there is a lack of BAME representation on a professional level in the built environment, there is very much a lack of minority-owned businesses being at the forefront of large projects.
BPIC Network seeks to promote the ethos of diversity and inclusion in public and private sector supply chains by identifying and introducing certified ethnic minority-owned businesses (EMBs) to the procurement teams of large corporations with a drive to increase the diversity of their suppliers.
Our solution?! We have created a platform, for EMB’s within the construction, built environment and beyond where they can sign up and get a listing on our website. Once they have signed up, our validation team conducts the necessary checks to approve these businesses and add them to our website as a registered member of BPIC Network. The result is a vital link where we can introduce these businesses to large firms/projects or projects themselves can come and look at our website for their procurement needs while driving the diversity agenda.
We will always endeavour to promote ethnic minority businesses to drive diversity and inclusion in the corporate supply chain! We are already proudly working with the below suppliers.
